Environmental Scientist/Engineer
Spectrum Environmental Sciences is an environmental consulting firm headquartered in Frederick, Maryland. Spectrum provides environmental permitting, compliance, assessment, and planning services to our public sector and commercial clients. We are looking for a motivated individual to immediately fill an Environmental Scientist/Engineer position.
Position Description
Applicant must possess three to seven years of experience in performing environmental permitting, monitoring, compliance, assessment, and planning projects. Position responsibilities will include performing public sector and commercial environmental related projects. These environmental project areas will include the following:

Perform quarterly Stormwater Quality Visual Monitoring,
-
Develop air emission inventories including GHGs for mobile and stationary sources,
-
Perform semi-annual monitoring well and surface water sampling points at a local industrial landfill,
-
Perform monthly monitoring well water level measurements at a local industrial landfill,
-
Prepare semi-annual water quality reports,
-
Prepare state construction and operating air permit applications,
-
Perform annual environmental awareness training at client sites,
-
Prepare annual operating permit compliance certifications,
-
Perform QA/QC for various environmental projects.

Requirements/Qualifications
​

3 to 7 years of direct and applicable project experience,
-
BS or MS Degree in Environmental Science, Biology or related field
-
Must have strong task management skills,
-
Willing to travel to various client sites,
-
Experience working with MDOT a plus, and
-
Excellent written and verbal skills required
-
Detailed knowledge of MS Office Applications
-
Self-motivated and responsible, ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
-
GIS experience a plus
