Environmental Scientist
Spectrum Environmental Sciences is an environmental consulting firm headquartered in Frederick, Maryland. We are looking for a motivated individual to fill a full-time Environmental Scientist position at our MDOT client site located in Baltimore, Maryland. Applicant must have 1 to 3 years of environmental compliance experience.
Position Description
Position responsibilities will include performing public sector and commercial environmental related projects. These environmental project areas will include the following:

Report directly to client's facility in downtown Baltimore, MD on a daily basis

Work directly with client manager to support day-to-day compliance of client facilities with environmental regulations

Update and review monthly and weekly inspections (re: stormwater, fuel tanks, spills releases, etc.)

Interact with and update environmental data in GIS databases

Prepare reports and perform office functions
-
Interact professionally with client staff, regulatory agencies, and consultants to achieve client objectives
Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional work experience

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field

Excellent written and verbal skills required

Detailed knowledge of MS Office Applications

Self-motivated and responsible, ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision

GIS experience a plus
